Head coach Bryan Harsin and Auburn have been busy in the transfer portal this offseason.
Two days after former Vanderbilt safety Donovan Kaufman committed, former Kansas defensive lineman Marcus Harris committed to the Tigers on Friday via Twitter.
Harris, the Montgomery, Alabama, native, was rated as a 3-star prospect and was the No. 72 player in Alabama and the No. 115 weak-side defensive end in the class of 2019, according to 247Sports composite rankings.
As a true freshman in 2019, Harris played in two games for the Jayhawks and recorded two total tackles. In 2020 as a redshirt freshman, Harris played in all eight games and started along the defensive line for five of them.
The redshirt freshman led the Jayhawks in 2020 with 7.5 tackles for a loss. He also finished the season with 27 total tackles, along with forcing and recovering a fumble.
