Auburn moved up to No. 22 in AP poll

In the AP Top 25 poll, Auburn has moved up one spot in the national rankings to No. 22.

Auburn moves up one spot after an extremely shaky victory against Georgia State, winning 34-24.

Georgia State managed to score its season high in points against Auburn, while only taking the first half to do so.

On offense, Auburn quarterback Bo Nix was benched for sophomore backup T.J. Finley in the third quarter. It was Finley that would create the team spark and carry the Tigers to victory with under a minute left.

It would take scores in all three phases of the game to beat the visiting Panthers. The Tigers have now scored on offense, defense and special teams twice this season and have an interception in three of their four games played this season.

Auburn will open its SEC play next week in Death Valley against LSU. Coincidentally, LSU is the former home of Finley, where he played his first college season.

No. 22 Auburn (3-1, 0-0) kicks off at LSU (3-1, 1-0) at 8 p.m. CST on ESPN.
