In the most recent AP poll, Auburn has been ranked No. 23 in the nation.

Following Saturday night’s closely fought loss to No. 10 Penn State, Auburn dropped one single spot in the national rankings.

The Tigers battled all night with the Nittany Lions, losing 28-20. Auburn’s offense had a chance to tie the game late, but couldn’t convert on a close fourth-and-goal.

Auburn’s defense had a tough time all game getting home on Penn State’s quarterback Sean Clifford. Clifford was able to extend plays with his arm for almost the entire game, only throwing four incompletions.

On offense, the run game excelled for the third straight week. Tank Bigsby had 102 yards and two scores on the ground. Freshman Jarquez Hunter continued his highlight making streak, hurdling a defender to try and set up a late Auburn score.

Auburn (2-1, 0-0 SEC) will face Georgia State (2-2) at home on Saturday, a 3 p.m. CT on SEC Network.
