All of college football will have their eyes on tonight's Big 12 versus SEC clash for a variety of reasons, whether that's fans who are interested in seeing a non-conference battle between two nationally-ranked teams or perhaps it's because of the many who simply are excited to watch how two of the most unique college football offenses match up with one another on a national stage where the college football playoff committee will be taking notes.
The Auburn Arts Association and the Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center will be hosting a juried photography exhibition and competition. The contest is called Photo XVI, and the Dempsey Center has been holding the show every fall since they opened 16 years ago. Each photographer can submit three pieces, and all submissions must be turned in by Oct. 9. Chosen photographs will be shown in the from Oct. 15-Nov. 21. The exhibition is open to all photographers 17 years and older.

Not every college student has the same experience at school. Some students don't have time to truly enjoy their college experience with night shifts, loans and no days off. Some Auburn students who hold part-time or full-time jobs for experience or economic support are learning these truths. Tori Rivers, senior in public relations, learned about these financial realities. An associate trainer at Panera Bread and an intern at the Office of Communication and Marketing, Rivers took on a part-time job just to enroll at Auburn.
The Student Government Associations Sep. 15 agenda only had one new order of business on it. The bill, proposed by John LeMaster, pro-tempore, called for the appointment of Jack Wagster, freshmen in pre-business, to fill the Assistant Vice President of Facilities opening.

For the third year in a row, the March of Dimes of East Alabama will bring together Auburn's top local chefs to display their culinary expertise for the Signature Chefs Auction. This auction is set to take place Sept. 16 at the Auburn University Club on Yarborough Farms Boulevard. Similar events have taken place across the country for the past 20 years led by various March of Dimes chapters. Chefs from local restaurants, such as Acre, Zazu's Gastropub and Hamilton's on Magnolia will provide samples to guests.
Between competitions at running back and quarterback this offseason, the race to fill Chris Davis' return role was often overlooked. That competition may be over after senior wide receiver Quan Bray's 55-yard punt return for a touchdown against San Jose State Saturday night.
The Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine's Animal and Health Performance program has been renamed Canine Performance Sciences (CPS). James Floyd, interim director of the program, said the new name better reflects the program's mission.
Harvey Updyke owes $796,731.98 in restitution to Auburn University for poisoning the famous Oaks at Toomer's Corner. Currently, he has paid $99 to the University.
Travis may be the most unusual resident of Auburn. Standing 6-foot-6, he towers over most visitors. Travis is a 6-year-old dromedary camel. His long, tan neck holds his head even higher than his hump. Travis is the tallest member of Farmer Brown's Party Animals, a petting zoo based out of the Auburn area. Travis lives on Pat Starr Sr.'s farm.
Auburn taxi owners want the Auburn City Council to stop Uber. Jeff Steiger, owner of taxi company KGM Auburn Trax, spoke on behalf of other taxi companies to the City Council at the Tuesday, Sept. 9, council meeting and asked the City Council to apply taxi regulations to Uber.
A new upscale apartment complex is coming to Auburn in Aug. 2015. One-Sixty Ross, located across the street from the Auburn Police Division, will be able to house 642 residents. The complex will feature elevators, parking deck and on-site security at their five and a half acre complex.
Representatives from Student Activities Programs shared their budgets for the year. Each representative shared the goals of the program for the year along with the cuts and increases to the budget.
An activist group announced on Tuesday, Sept. 2, a strike of fast-food workers would be held on Thursday, Sept. 4, in Opelika's Tigertown shopping center. On Thursday morning the same group, named 'Low pay is not OK', announced workers from Opelika would instead protest with other workers in Atlanta.

A dedication ceremony in honor of William "Will" May was held at the South Donahue Courtyard on Aug. 29. Will was 13 years old when he was killed in a hunting accident Jan. 12, 2013. Because Will was an avid Auburn fan, the South Donahue Courtyard was dedicated in his memory.
The undefeated 2004 Sugar Bowl Champions were honored before Saturday's kickoff against San Jose State, and their presence set the tone as Auburn defeated the Spartans, 59-13, improving their record to 2-0.
