Dodson earns Player of the Week honors

Auburn soccer's Kristen Dodson was named the SEC Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday. The junior found the back of the net four times, including two game-winners, and tallied two assists in road victories at No. 12 Florida and Georgia last week. Dodson was involved in six of the team’s seven goals during the week, racking her season point total from nine to a team-best 19. The Illinois native became the first player since Katy Frierson in 2008 to score twice and have two assists in a single game during the Tigers 4-2 victory at Georgia on Sunday. Dodson’s two-goal performance at Florida secured the program’s first ever win in Gainesville and sent the Gators to their worst home SEC loss in program history, 3-0.

However, Davis has been huge for the Tigers so far this season, as three of his 12 catches so far this season came on Auburn's final offensive drive against LSU.
