The construction, which began in May, brings many changes to Toomer’s Corner including brick inlay in the crosswalks and a brick inlay tiger paw in the center of the intersection.

Lee is the author of “To Kill a Mockingbird” and “Go Set a Watchman,” which came out earlier this month. Flynt, talked in depth about “Go Set a Watchman,” including the success of the book.
Construction will begin in December on the Mell Classroom Building. The building will be 65,000 square feet and will be located on the west end of the library. The building will contain two large lecture halls and general classrooms that can hold from 20-30 students to 60-80 students, according to Sarah Smith, campus architect. According to Smith, all of the classrooms will have projection and white boards.
Auburn students and citizens will soon enjoy a larger Kroger, but until then, they will have to deal with the construction. The Kroger on Glenn Avenue has been under construction since February, and will not be finished until May of 2016, according to Bradley Whitman from Store Management for the Glenn Avenue Kroger. The store will still be open during renovation.
Pizza Chain to roll into the former Bank Vault location Rachael Taylor- News Writer The Bank Vault closed at the beginning of the summer, but it will not be empty for long. Pieology, a casual pizza chain, has started construction on the building and hopes to open around early September, according to Joshua McBride, director of operations for Segovia Aslan Enterprises.
The construction downtown this summer poses obvious complications, such as the intersection of College Street and Magnolia Avenue being closed.
The Sigma Chi house on Magnolia Avenue is no longer sitting vacant, the brothers of Sigma Tau Gamma have recently moved in. “They moved in on Monday, June 1,” said John Carvalho, faculty adviser for Sigma Tau Gamma.
