Lowder briefly evacuated, University issues all clear

Auburn Police Chief Paul Register said the police department received a call about a suspicious person entering the Lowder Building at about 1:57 p.m.

Register said the person in question was a male Auburn student wearing a medical support device.

"We got here at about 1:59 p.m. and did a thorough search of the building," Register said. "At about 2:30 p.m. we were able to confirm that the suspicious person was wearing a medical support device that appeared to be something else to the caller."

"I do want to credit the student who called because they saw something suspicious," Register said. "They did the right thing."
