Keylan Speed — Senator

Fresh Plan for COSAM — Freshman in biomedical sciences

"I would like to be a Senator for the College of Science and Mathematics because of three things: how much I want to see my peers succeed, how much I want to see Auburn succeed, and how much I want to see myself succeed. As for my peers, I would like to serve as a bridge between my classmates and the University with complete transparency. Regarding Auburn, I will make sure all potential incoming students know the services available to them as a student of COSAM in hopes of bringing them to Auburn. Lastly, I know how hard I work and how hard I will work with this position and would like the opportunity to do so."

Sophia Kamburis — Senator

COSAM United — Sophomore in biomedical sciences

"I would be a great Minor Candidate for COSAM because I have a passion for COSAM and the values our college instills in our students. One of my goals is to increase student engagement in COSAM by providing clear communication with the student body. I promise to act with purpose by being a voice for COSAM students and focusing on realistic goals. If elected as COSAM Senator, I humbly ask for your vote as I vow to work towards a better COSAM!"

Annie Ozment — Senator

Fresh Plan for COSAM — Freshman in biomedical sciences

"As a senator for COSAM, I want to help every student’s voice be heard. I will ensure that all students have equal opportunity by finding a way to bridge the gap between COSAM’s graduate and undergraduate students. It is my honor to have the opportunity to serve the students that make up America’s future scientists, health professionals and mathematicians."

College of Science and Mathematics council

Colin Mallory — President

A Positive Charge — Sophomore in pre-pharmacy

"As president of COSAM, I will strive to create more research opportunities for undergraduate students, open unblocking appointments earlier with advisors, make signing up for classes easier, and announce professors for classes sooner. I will work tirelessly to make myself available to anyone that has a question or concern. I have a strong desire to see every student succeed in the College of Science and Mathematics, and I will do whatever it takes to make that desire a reality. Join the charge with me to make a positive future for COSAM.”

Kate Griffin — President

COSAM United

Landon McNellage — President

Fresh Plan for COSAM — Sophomore in pre-pharmacy

"As President of the College of Sciences and Mathematics, my main goal is to allow each student to realize his or her potential within Auburn’s campus alone. Through bridging the gap between undergraduate and graduate level students—including student physicians, pharmacists, and veterinarians— I hope to provide a path for a smooth transition for any undergraduate student interested in graduate school. Furthermore, I will work to renovate and continually update all COSAM social media and web pages in order to market all that COSAM has to offer to potential students. Finally, I will always ensure the voice of COSAM students is represented in each decision and action made. The future of COSAM starts with a Fresh Plan."

Mady Taylor — Vice President

Fresh Plan for COSAM — Freshman in chemistry

"War Eagle, my name is Mady Taylor and I am running for COSAM School's Council Vice-President. For too long, COSAM students have been underinformed and confused about communication and opportunities within the college. As Vice-President, I would work to implement more marketing strategies that advertise COSAM to potential students, be it new or transfer, to show the various aspects of the college while also updating the COSAM social media and website with more information. Along with the changes to communication, I would also work to develop mentorship programs between undergraduate and graduate students at the various graduate schools we have at Auburn to help undergraduates develop a better understanding for their chosen professional path. I would love your support in implementing this Fresh Plan for COSAM on Tuesday, Feb. 6."

Mary Braden Hendon — Vice President

A Positive Charge — Sophomore in biomedical sciences

"My name is Mary Braden Hendon and I am running for the position of the COSAM Vice President on the ticket “A Positive Charge.” I am studying Biomedical Sciences with a Pre-Optometry concentration. I want to be COSAM’s VP to work in 5 ways that spell out COSAM: Create more research; Open unblocking appointments earlier; Sign up for classes earlier; Announce professors earlier; Make a 4.0! Join my ticket and me to make a positive charge for Auburn’s College of Science and Mathematics!"
