The Auburn men’s tennis team traveled to Vanderbilt Sunday, March 8, to take on the 14th ranked Commodores.
The Tigers lost 4-0, but despite the score, Auburn did get a doubles win from the pair of senior Lukas Ollert and junior Joseph Van Dooren.
Unfortunately for the Tigers, the third court doubles match would be the only bright spot of the day.
Van Dooren lost his court four singles match by a score of 6-1, 6-0.
Fellow junior Marko Krickovic fared no better as he was bested in straight sets by Vandy’s third court singles player 6-3 6-1.
Sophomore Oliver Plaskett lost on court six 6-3, 6-1 as well as losing with Krickovic in court one doubles.
The Tigers now move to 11-4 on the season with a 1-2 conference record.
Their next match is scheduled for Friday, March 13, in Auburn. The Tigers' will look to even up their conference record against main rival Alabama.
