The SEC announced junior outfielder Jordan Ebert for this year’s Community Service Team on Tuesday, May 12, according to a press release issued by the Auburn athletic department.
Ebert volunteers frequently within the Auburn community and in his hometown of Foley, with elementary school children in their physical education classes.
The junior also spends time on campus with Student Athlete Advisory Committee activities such as the Beat Bama food drive, Student-Athlete Day, Toys for Tots and is actively involved in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
The three-year letter winner and his Auburn baseball teammates have also made visits to Children’s Hospital in Birmingham.
Each year, the conference announces a Community Service Team for each of its 21 league-sponsored sports.
The purpose of each team is to highlight an athlete from each school who gives back to his or her community through service efforts.
