Bruce Pearl to represent Auburn in SEC Takeover

Beginning Monday, June 29, each SEC school will choose what is played on the SEC Network for 24 consecutive hours. Programming may include recorded games, films, ESPN original content or some school-produced content.

An aide was chosen to represent each school and lend a hand in choosing what will be played.

Men's basketball coach Bruce Pearl was chosen to represent Auburn.

His 24-hour Auburn takeover will take place Wednesday, July 1.

Below is the full schedule along with representatives:

  • June 29 – Alabama: Mark Ingram, Alabama’s first Heisman Trophy winner and former running back for the 2010 BCS National Championship team; first round draft pick, currently playing for the New Orleans Saints
  • June 30 – Arkansas: Coach Jimmy Dykes, former Arkansas basketball player under Coach Eddie Sutton, ESPN Analyst, current Women’s Basketball Head Coach for the Razorbacks
  • July 1 – Auburn: Coach Bruce Pearl, current Men’s Basketball Head Coach for the Tigers and former ESPN Analyst
  • July 2 – Florida: Titus O’Neil, former football player (Thaddeus Bullard) and UF Student Body Vice President in 2000, current WWE Tag Team World Champion
  • July 3 – Georgia: D.J. Shockley, former Georgia quarterback and MVP in the 2005 SEC Championship game win
  • July 4 – Kentucky: Coach John Calipari & Coach Mark Stoops, current men’s basketball and football head coaches
  • July 5 – LSU: Alex Bregman, second pick in the first round of the 2015 MLB Draft – highest ever drafted position player in LSU history – and finalist for the 2015 Golden Spikes Award
  • July 6 – Mississippi State: Dak Prescott & Coach Dan Mullen (Mississippi State), current Bulldogs quarterback – owner of several school records including total touchdowns and offensive yards – and Mississippi State’s football head coach
  • July 7 – Missouri: John Anderson, ESPN SportsCenter anchor and Missouri alumni
  • July 8 – Ole Miss: Leigh Anne Tuohy, legal guardian of Super Bowl champion and first round draft pick Michael Oher, most notably known for Sandra Bullock’s depiction of her life in the film “The Blind Side"
  • July 9 – South Carolina: President Harris Pastides, current President of the University of South Carolina and AD Ray Tanner, former two-time national championship winning baseball coach and current athletic director
  • July 10 – Tennessee: Inky Johnson, former Tennessee football player turned author and inspirational speaker after suffering a life-threatening injury on the football field
  • July 11 – Texas A&M: Kayce Smith, SEC Network sideline reporter and former student of Texas A&M (Class of 2012)
