After matching its best start in school history, Auburn Soccer has advanced to No.9 in the nation in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Poll. The poll, released Tuesday, advanced the Tigers two spots from No.11 to a strong top 10 pool.
The Tigers are 6-0-0 with six straight shutouts, the most recent coming Sunday, Sept. 6, against the Old Dominion Monarchs.
Senior defender Kala Faulkner was also named the SEC Defensive Player of the Week Tuesday.
The Tigers open SEC play this weekend in Colombia, Missouri against another set of Tigers. The match is set for Friday, Sept. 11, with a 6:30 p.m. CT first kick.
Following SEC play, Auburn will return home to the Auburn Soccer Complex Sunday, Sept. 13, to face the University of South Alabama Jaguars.
