Report: Defensive end set to transfer from Auburn

Auburn defensive end Gimel President will transfer from Auburn, according to a report from AL.com.

The rising senior will have one season of eligibility remaining.

President played in 10 games in 2015, recording 12 tackles and two sacks. He leaves Auburn having played in 25 games, totaling 45 tackles and seven tackles for loss.

The news of the transfer comes on National Signing Day, and Auburn has signed several players with the potential to replace President's production.

Junior college transfer Paul James III projects as a rush end, and Auburn has signed Marlon Davidson, Antwuan Jackson Jr. and Nick Coe, all of whom are projected to play on the edge.

The defensive line also received a boost when Carl Lawson decided in January to bypass the NFL Draft and return for his junior season.
