Women's tennis drops final match of Blue Gray National Tennis Classic to No. 10 Pepperdine

A thrilling upset over No. 11 Oklahoma State couldn't carry the Tigers to triumph over No. 10 Pepperdine in the final day of the Blue Gray National Tennis Classic, as the Tigers fell 4-0 to the Waves Saturday morning in Montgomery.

Auburn dropped the doubles point after Andie Dikosavljevic and Alannah Griffin lost 6-2. Pleun Burgmans and Paula de Man suffered a come-from-behind loss to No. 12 Matea Cutura and Christine Maddox after dropping a 5-2 lead.

Pepperdine clinched the match with a three-court sweep.

The Tigers will return home to begin SEC play against Texas A&M on Thursday, March 3, followed by LSU on Saturday, March 5. Both matches will be held at the Yarbrough Tennis Center.
