The Women's Golf Coaches association named Auburn sophomore Kelli Murphy an All-American Scholar, the WGCA announced Tuesday.
Murphy was one of 828 golfers nationwide to receive the recognition. She was also named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll last week and the SEC Community Service team earlier this year.
The honor marks Murphy’s second-straight recognition as an All-America Scholar. She is the eighth different Auburn golfer to be named an All-America Scholar since 1995. This is the ninth straight season for an Auburn golfer to receive the award. Golfers are required to have a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA to be considered.
Murphy, from Elgin, South Carolina, finished the 2015-16 season with a 76.88 scoring average and was Auburn’s top finisher in three events
