Following a week of questions as to why Deshaun Davis had yet to be invited to the 70th Reese’s Senior Bowl, the Auburn linebacker received a special invite from the organization Thursday afternoon.

Davis’ invitation from Jim Nagy, the bowl game’s executive director, came via a phone call alongside hall-of-fame linebacker and fellow Mobile native Robert Brazile.

Davis' invitation comes eight days following quarterback Jarrett Stidham's acceptance, which followed Auburn's first acceptance by defensive tackle Dontavius Russell eight days earlier.

A product of Vigor High School, Davis has 253 total tackles, 28.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks through four years on The Plains after redshirting his freshman season.

Less than a month after Auburn's matchup with Purdue in the Music City Bowl, the Reese's Senior Bowl is set for Jan. 26, 2019, at 1:30 p.m. CST at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama.
