Not long after A-Day, Auburn received some good new in regards to its 2020 recruiting class.

Chayil Garnett committed to the Tigers during an A-Day visit. Garnett is a 3-star dual-threat quarterback from Florida's Lake Wales High.

The 6-foot-2, 205-pound Garnett, is the No. 21 dual-threat quarterback nationally according to 247Sports. Garnett is coming off a junior season where he passed for 2,028 yards with a 61 percent completion ratio. He also had 18 touchdowns, 4 interceptions and 336 rushing yards in 2018.

Garnett's recruitment has been a priority for first-year offensive coordinator Kenny Dillingham, being one of the first to receive an Auburn offer after his arrival.

Garnett chose Auburn over several prestigious school including Duke, UCF and Harvard. Being an honor student, Garnett is a very smart individual with academics playing a major part in his recruitment.
