The 2020 preseason coaches All-SEC team was released Thursday where Auburn had six representatives over the first, second and third teams.
Defensive end Big Kat Bryant and linebacker K.J. Britt were the two Auburn players named to the first team. Both Bryant and Britt have already been named to the preseason watch list for the Nagurski Trophy.
Bryant is starting his senior year and coming off of a season where he had 16 tackles with two being for loss along with leading the team in quarterback hurries, with nine. Britt finished last season with 69 tackles, 10 of which were for loss, and earned his first All-SEC honor last year.
The second team featured offensive lineman Brodarious Hamm as a tie pick. Last season Hamm saw the field 11 times as a reserve player, but is expected to start at right tackle this season.
The third team had the most Auburn players. On offense, wide receiver Seth Williams and quarterback Bo Nix were picked. On defense, defensive back Christian Tutt was a tie pick. Tutt was also tagged on the third team as a return specialist and an all-purpose player.
From the get-go, Nix and Williams had a connection on the field last year. Williams led the team in receptions at 59 with 830 yards and eight touchdowns. Nix threw for 2,542 yards, rushed for 313 more and ended the season with 23 total touchdowns. Nix was named the SEC Freshman of the Year.
This is the 18th year of a SEC Coaches preseason team. Coaches were not permitted to vote for their own players.
