Auburn started the game strong, taking the early 2-1 lead in the first inning.
They again rallied in the 3rd inning after Cullen Wacker got a triple off a hit to deep center field, sending in two runs to give Auburn the two-run lead.
Wacker finished the day going 4-5 with 4 RBIs.
"I had a good bp (batting practice) before the game and came out and was able to execute swings on good pitches and handle pitches in the zone," Wacker said.
Garret Cooper followed up with an RBI double down the left-field line to extend the lead to 4-1. The Tigers would end the inning leading 5-1.
They would continue their success in the fourth inning after scoring three runs on four hits and a Jackson Burgreen homerun to extend their lead to 8-1.
But just like on Friday, Eastern Illinois would respond in the fifth inning with three runs on two hits to cut Auburn's lead to 8-4.
In the sixth inning Auburn would replace starting pitcher Michael O'Neal with Justin Camp. O'Neal gave up four runs on three hits, three walks and no strikeouts through five innings and 73 pitches.
Camp would not do much better than O'Neal after giving up three runs on four hits and one strikeout in a little more than an inning.
In the middle of the top of the seventh inning after Eastern Illinois had cut the lead to 8-6, Auburn brought in Conner Kendrick.
"We wouldn't want to have anybody else out there than Conner to close the door for us," Wacker said. "We have faith in him when he's out there. All the credit goes to him being able to shut the door for us."
Auburn would go on to score six runs in the eighth inning and Kendricks would finish the day with one hit and no runs given up with four strikeouts to push Auburn to the final score of 14-7.
"I felt good today, so I felt like I could finish it off," Kendricks said. "After yesterday's game we were a little down, so it put the ball back in our court with the win and get some motivation behind that."
The Tigers were able to get back to their winning ways after losing two games earlier in the week and upgrade their record to 7-3 on the year.
"It's very important for us," said Pawlowski. "The mindset of this team is we need to find ways to score and put teams away. They jumped back into it, but Conner Kendrick did a great job for us."

The men's basketball team traveled to Kentucky on Saturday, Feb. 9 to try and avenge its 75-53 loss to the Wildcats earlier in the season, but fouls would cost the Tigers and allow Kentucky to pull away to a 72-62 victory in Rupp Arena.
Auburn started the game fast jumping out to an early 10-6 lead, but Kentucky would battle back and retake the lead with a little more than 13 minutes to go in the first half.
Several times in the first half Kentucky would go on a run, but time and time again Auburn would battle back and close the gap.
The low point of the first half came with a little more than one minute to go when Jordan Granger was ejected from the game for punching Kentucky's Archie Goodwin.
Three-point shooting was Auburn's strength in the first half, going 6-9 beyond the arch, but fouls by the Tigers would help Kentucky end the half with a 37-31 lead.
The last time these two teams faced off in Auburn, the players admitted to being a little scared. That was not the case in Saturday's game as Auburn played an extremely physical brand of basketball.
But this physical style of play would cost the Tigers 29 fouls on the day.
These fouls would earn Kentucky most of its points of the day from the free throw line, going 26-38, while the Tigers were only 11-17.
Foul troubles would also cost Auburn its big players in the latter part of the game. Rob Chubb and Asaun Dixon-Tatum would both foul out of the game along with Granger, who was ejected in the first half. With these players out of the game, Auburn would have no answer for Kentucky's Nerlens Noel, who finished the day with 10 points and 12 rebounds, and Willie Cauley-Stein, who finished with 12 points and four rebounds.
Frankie Sullivan also did not play the final 10 minutes of the game after Head Coach Tony Barbee decided to take him out of the game after a flagrant foul in the second half.
Auburn would continue fighting until the end, but the Wildcats would hold on for the victory.
Auburn's Chris Denson finished the game with 15 points, going 7-10 on field goals with four rebounds.

The women's basketball team traveled to Tuscaloosa to face rival Alabama on Thursday, Jan. 24, but lost 61-51. This extended Auburn's three-game losing streak, pushing the team to a 13-7 (2-5) record.
Auburn started the game off strong by gaining an early lead and maintaining it for most of the first half. But Alabama stepped up on defense and regained the lead with a little more than four minutes to go in the half.
The Crimson Tide then took over the momentum of the game and took a 30-20 lead going into halftime.
Auburn came out looking strong in the second half, cutting the Crimson Tide's lead to just one point with 12:50 to go in the game. But Alabama's strong three-point shooting, led by Shafontaye Myers, who made seven of Alabama's nine 3-point shots, would prove to be too much for the Tigers as the Crimson Tide cruised to the 10-point victory.
Three-point shots proved to be the big difference in the game as Auburn went 0-10 on 3-point shots, while Alabama went 9-27.
This ended Auburn's three-game winning streak over Alabama.
Auburn will try to end its losing streak next Thursday, Jan. 31, as the Tigers will host the LSU Tigers at the Auburn Arena.
