Student Government Association approves 2024–2025 student budget

On Sept. 23, the Auburn University SGA met and approved a new student activity budget for fiscal year 2024–2025. The budget is approximately $2.5 million and will be distributed among student organizations and programs. Members of the student senate presented and approved the new allocations, which were all accepted without debate. The beginning of the 2024–2025 fiscal year is Oct. 1, 2024. 

Auburn basketball announces return of Tipoff at Toomers

Auburn Athletics and the City of Auburn are bringing back Tipoff at Toomer's on Thursday, Oct. 17 to begin the 2024-25 men's and women's basketball seasons. The event is set to return to Toomer's Corner with an expanded array of festivities, including a headlining concert by country music icon Cole Swindell.

Board of Trustees approve renovation projects at September meeting

On Sept. 6, the Auburn University Board of Trustees approved numerous new and ongoing projects. Five of the nine projects are currently in the design phase, and the estimated spending of the fiscal year 2025 budget for construction, design and planning is approximately $350.5 million.

UPC brings The Driver Era to Auburn

Students filled the parking lot across from the Gogue Performing Arts Center on Aug. 24, eagerly awaiting entry to see The Driver Era. Clad in fabric skirts, denim, band tees and cowboy boots, students quickly cleared out the free tickets to the show, with UPC giving out all tickets 20 mins after gates opened.

DEI office to close by mid-August

On the morning of July 29, Auburn University sent a schoolwide email updating students, faculty and staff about what the university is doing to comply with law SB 129. Coined the “anti-DEI bill,” SB 129 prevents state-funded universities from having an office or programs for diversity and inclusion; compelling students, employees or staff to adhere, adopt or affirm "divisive concepts"; spend federal or private funding on programs or events that uplift divisive concepts; and requires universities to enforce gendered bathrooms.

In the heart of Birmingham: Auburn's new building enhances opportunities

Auburn University President Chris Roberts and faculty members unveiled one of Auburn’s newest off-campus buildings on May 23. Auburn University music department establishes a symphony of new programs for students
