Student Government Association approves 2024–2025 student budget

On Sept. 23, the Auburn University SGA met and approved a new student activity budget for fiscal year 2024–2025. The budget is approximately $2.5 million and will be distributed among student organizations and programs. Members of the student senate presented and approved the new allocations, which were all accepted without debate. The beginning of the 2024–2025 fiscal year is Oct. 1, 2024.

Auburn basketball announces return of Tipoff at Toomers

DEI office to close by mid-August

On the morning of July 29, Auburn University sent a schoolwide email updating students, faculty and staff about what the university is doing to comply with law SB 129. Coined the “anti-DEI bill,” SB 129 prevents state-funded universities from having an office or programs for diversity and inclusion; compelling students, employees or staff to adhere, adopt or affirm "divisive concepts"; spend federal or private funding on programs or events that uplift divisive concepts; and requires universities to enforce gendered bathrooms.
