Engaged Active Student Learning spaces first came to Auburn’s campus three years ago, using strategic furniture placement and technology to create a new learning environment that forces professors to teach differently and students to learn through collaboration. Wiebke Kuhn, College of Liberal Arts IT manager, said the classroom building committee first created these classrooms for the College of Liberal Arts to see how a different way of learning would affect students’ grades. “The reason for building that space came out of the classroom building committee,” Kuhn said.

SGA raises suicide awareness and promotes QPR

QPR stands for question, persuade, refer and offers training sessions to anyone who wants to learn how to detect signs someone may be having suicidal thoughts, according to Way.
