RBD library prepares for upcoming construction

RBD is in the process of preparing for the construction of the Mell Street building that will add more study spaces and classrooms to campus. While the structural plans are laid out, Auburn has hired an anthropologist consultant on what sort of services should be provided between the Mell building and the library, according to Marcia Boosinger, RBD library head of public services.

SGA’s Tiger Scheduler gets student approval

Auburn students are able to use the Tiger Scheduler for the first time this fall to help with class registration. The registration tool is available through Tiger-i and gives a “black and white view” of when the classes a student wants to take are available, according to Walker Byrd, SGA president. Once you choose the classes you are interested in, it will generate a mock-schedule and provide the CRN numbers for registration. Sarah Randolph-Bonones, biomedical sciences junior, is an honors college peer instructor, specifically assisting a class called “Freshmen Exploration” where she got to work with Tiger Scheduler. “Freshman exploration...is designed to help freshmen learn about how to utilize all the great things Auburn had to offer them,” Randolph-Bonones said.

Niman Ranch Cart opens in the Student Center

Tiger Dining recently opened a new food option in the student center called Niman Ranch Cart. The new food cart is located on the second floor of the student center next to the Foy Desk. William Sallustro, tiger dining resident district manager, said the idea came as an extension to their Plains to Plate concept, which is another food option available in Lupton Hall. “When we started plains to plate we started looking for farm-friendly products,” Sallustro said.
