DEI office to close by mid-August

On the morning of July 29, Auburn University sent a schoolwide email updating students, faculty and staff about what the university is doing to comply with law SB 129. Coined the “anti-DEI bill,” SB 129 prevents state-funded universities from having an office or programs for diversity and inclusion; compelling students, employees or staff to adhere, adopt or affirm "divisive concepts"; spend federal or private funding on programs or events that uplift divisive concepts; and requires universities to enforce gendered bathrooms.

Pickleball grows in Auburn along with court wait times

Pickleball, a sport much like a mix of tennis and ping pong, has experienced an unprecedented rise in popularity and has become one of Auburn students' favorite pastimes. In Auburn, this burgeoning interest has led to the creation of a pickleball club and a large and growing community on the hardtop. However, pickleball's popularity has created growing pains, such as significant wait times for open courts.
