On a day that is often dubbed “Elimination Saturday” in the Women’s College World Series, Auburn did the one thing it had to do: survive and advance. The Tigers were two of six players who received the honor alongside UCLA’s Ally Carda and Alexis Bennett, Oklahoma’s Lauren Chamberlain and Oregon’s Cheridan Hawkins. Cooper said it was an honor to be sitting next to the five other All-Americans. “For me I think it’s cool because I watched Oklahoma and Alabama play in the championship sitting at home in high school.” Cooper said.

Straight off the bus from Baton Rogue, Louisiana, with a first-ever SEC Championship, the celebration wasn’t over yet for the Tigers, as they watched Auburn selected as the number four seed heading into the 2015 NCAA Championship.
In the biggest comeback of the Tiger’s career, Auburn triumphed over Tennessee to claim the SEC Championship title for the first time in program history.
With this win, Auburn will advance to the SEC Tournament Final for the first time in program history.
