Auburn Campus Dining expands with renovations at The Edge and campus-wide opening of Wellness Kitchen

Auburn University’s campus dining options are expanding with two major projects at The Edge at Central Dining. Renovations will take place on the ground floor to create a frictionless convenience store and a three-stall food hall. In addition to the new dining options coming to The Edge, next school year the Wellness Kitchen will be open to all students.

2025 SGA major candidates face off in debate

On Thursday, Feb. 6, the Student Government Association Major Candidate Debate occurred in the Student Activities Center at 5 p.m. For major candidates, questions were directed to an individual candidate, who had one minute to respond. Each remaining candidate then had 45 seconds for a rebuttal. The debate concluded with each candidate delivering a closing statement.

Beaverstock and Yohn running for 2025 SGA president

Two candidates are running for Student Government Association president. From 7 to 5 p.m., candidates will represent their campaigns Wednesday through Friday and meet with students on the Haley Concourse. Voting will occur on Friday, Feb. 7 from 7 to 5 p.m. and the winner will be announced the same day at 10 p.m. on the Cater Hall steps.

Auburn student Abbie Stockard crowned Miss America 2025

Abbie Stockard, a senior nursing student at Auburn University and the reigning 2024 Miss Alabama, was crowned Miss America 2025 on Jan. 5 in Orlando, Florida. From Birmingham, AL., she triumphed over 51 contestants to win the title, earning a $50,000 scholarship and a yearlong role as a national ambassador. Stockard's victory marks her as the fourth Miss Alabama to claim the Miss America crown.

The 31st annual Beat Bama Food Drive raises over 900,000 pounds of food

The 31st annual Beat Bama Food Drive (BBFD) raised a record breaking 908,928 pounds of food to support the Food Bank of East Alabama, surpassing last year’s total by over 222,000 pounds. In collaboration with the University of Alabama’s Beat Auburn Beat Hunger drive, the two schools collectively raised over 1.3 million pounds of food to combat hunger across Alabama.

2025 Camp War Eagle counselors announced at Cater Hall

On Nov. 4, the 2025 Camp War Eagle and Successfully Orienting Students counselors were announced on the steps of Cater Hall. Friends and family gathered to celebrate the selected 72 students. These orientation counselors will undergo spring training to prepare for their role in guiding incoming freshmen and transfer students, helping them adjust to Auburn’s campus.

Beat Bama Food Drive marks 31 years of fighting food insecurity

The thirty-first annual Beat Bama Food Drive has kicked off, raising food and money for the Food Bank of East Alabama in a friendly competition with the University of Alabama's Beat Auburn Beat Hunger drive. This year’s events include a “war eagle” can formation on Samford Lawn and various volunteer opportunities for students and the community.

SGA, ISO & BSU hold open student forum regarding SB-129

A day before the Alabama bill, SB-129, went into effect, Auburn University's Student Government Association, Black Student Union and International Student Organization held a student roundtable to answer questions about Auburn University's compliance with SB-129. The roundtable discussion focused solely on student organizations, clubs and spaces, with further insight on how professors are complying with the law in the classroom missing.

Take a look at Auburn's newest hotel, The Graduate Auburn

The Graduate Auburn, the newest hotel in downtown Auburn, offers 177 rooms across five floors, featuring Auburn-themed decor that immerses guests in the Auburn spirit. Located just half a mile from Jordan-Hare Stadium, the hotel features a rooftop bar and restaurant and a coffee shop honoring sports legend Bo Jackson. The grand opening for the Graduate Auburn will take place on the evening of Friday, Sept. 27, on the rooftop.
