The women said that once the conversation is no longer taboo, women can begin to feel more comfortable with their bodies and in their sexuality.
This four-man “holler folk” band hails from Portland, Maine, and blends together thick harmonies, unfeigned lyrics and strings with banjo, bass and guitar.
One in four children are faced with food insecurity. Hornsby Farms hosts Family Supper in partnership with Nourish, AL to raise awareness and funding.
“Kids didn’t do a thing, cancer just happened to them,” Scott Parker, father of Carly Parker and 1993 Auburn alumni, said. “They just woke up one morning with bruises and it turned out to be leukemia.”
Lined with brick buildings and colorful mural walls, Columbus is just 45 minutes away from Auburn.
Childhood Cancer Awareness Month stands for all who have fought, who are fighting and who have passed away.
“Here in Auburn I feel very supported, but I do want other girls in the community to also feel that support and feel that they can pursue this career as well,” Megan Brown said.
Local EDM artist Joe Matheny is making a name in Auburn and gearing up for Imagine Festival.
Local artist and cancer survivor Christy Cochran uses her passion to give back.
