Tiger Dining provides options for students with gluten-free diets

Auburn University made the list of Top 10 Gluten-Free Accommodating Colleges by Udi, the number one gluten-free brand in the United States. Currently, there is a gluten free prep area in the Wellness Kitchen as part of Auburn University's Made without Gluten Initiative. Soon, Auburn University may be the first to have a certified gluten-free dining location on its campus.

​Ombuds Office helps develop conflict management skills

The Ombuds Office at Auburn is a resource trying to help guide people and provide conflict resolutions skills to the Auburn community. Kevin Coonrod, auburn ombudsperson, said the services are offered to several different people. “The Ombuds Office assists members of the Auburn University community to navigate through difficult situations encountered at the University,” Coonrod said.

Graphic design students design posters for Birmingham Zoo’s 60th anniversary

Fifteen graphic design students’ posters are on display for the Birmingham Zoo’s 60th anniversary after the first project of the course turned into an art exhibit in the zoo’s Predator Building. Assistant professor Courtney Windham tasked students in her summer Graphic Processes studio with creating a poster that reflected one of the zoo’s animals while using a process similar to that of artist Hendrik N.

Kevin Brown, co-founder of Chicken Salad Chick, passed away Saturday, Nov. 21, after an approximately two-year battle with cancer, according to a post on the company's Facebook page.

Meet the Student Design League's fan apparel contest winner

Alaundra Shealey, winner of the Student Design League's #AUshirt competition and senior in apparel design, is from the Auburn and area and said she wanted to incorporate the Toomer's Oaks in her design.  Shealey's design received 3,500 votes.  She received a summer internship with Robin Ruth in New York and is now a finalist for a $10,000 prize, which is based on who gets the most shirt sales, said Shealey. When Shealey was announced as the winner, she said she felt more than her facial expression showed.

Auburn beat Bama in Food Drive

Auburn University has [won/lost] the 2015 Beat Bama Food Drive. With [number] pounds of food collected this year for the Food Bank of East Alabama, Auburn has [beaten/has been beaten] the University of Alabama, who raised [number] pounds for the West Alabama Food Bank.
