On Tuesday, Feb. 3 at 3 p.m., the Student Government Association (SGA) Major Candidates election campaigns officially began after the conclusion of the kickoff event held on the back steps of Cater Hall. The 2026 SGA candidates for president, vice president, treasurer and Miss Auburn all spoke center stage in front of a crowd in the courtyard behind Cater. At this event, the candidates revealed their campaigns for the upcoming week of elections, which concludes with a final day of voting on Friday, Feb. 6 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The results will be held at the same location on Feb. 6 at 7 p.m.
Miss Auburn Candidates:
Meghan George, a junior neuroscience major and vice president of operations of Alpha Omicron Pi, hopes students will believe they are “Made for More with Meg.” With this promise, George is proposing the creation of a unique mentorship program that connects underclassmen, upperclassmen, faculty and alumni to help prove to the Auburn Family they are made to be more than a student, campus or moment.
Riley Johnson, junior in elementary education, serves as a War Eagle Girl and the SGA Director of Opportunities and Access Engagement and Opportunity (AEO). Johnson believes that the role of Miss Auburn is an opportunity rather than a title. Drawing inspiration from her father’s example, Johnson wants to invest in others and fill their buckets through kindness, purpose and integrity.
Camilla Loard is a junior in event management with a minor in business. With her platform, “All Aboard with Loard,” she is striving to equip all students, no matter their background, with the tools to succeed and feel connected within the Auburn Family. Loard is a current SGA at-large senator, student worker with the Office of the President and member of the College of Human Sciences Executive Team.
Eliza Sundberg, junior studying business administration, encourages students to “Save a Seat with Sundberg.” Using the Auburn Creed’s sixth stanza as a basis for her platform, Sundberg who is the vice president of communications for Auburn’s Student Alumni Ambassadors and the assistant vice president of media operations for the SGA, wants to prepare seats at the table for alumni, current students and future students, to maintain a love for Auburn in the Auburn Family's heart.
Another War Eagle Girl, Virginia Anne Holmes, who is also the vice president of experience of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, uses the experiences she's had serving as a peer mentor for the EAGLES program to form her platform of emphasizing the importance of continuing to build upon the Auburn Family. As a second-generation Auburn student, her acknowledgement of the resources an Auburn education provides have only been heightened, and she hopes to convey that to all students.
Treasurer Candidate:
Running unopposed is junior Jackson Morse who is studying finance. Morse is the assistant vice president of finance for the SGA and a member of the Auburn Financial Management Association. In his platform, he notes he was a summer analyst for Marblegate Asset Management and hopes students put their “Money on Morse” for this campaign cycle. Morse, who is inspired seemingly by the former Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) established by President Trump, wants to carefully examine SGA’s budget and eliminate unnecessary costs.
Vice President Candidates:
Colin Hale, a junior in finance with a minor in real estate development, is a current senator in SGA, serving as the Budget and Finance Committee Chair. Hale is planning to make communication between SGA, Auburn University and Auburn students easier to understand and have increased relevance. Furthermore, Hale intends to make sure student activity fees are spent on things that benefit students through equitable allocation. He asks students to go “All In with Colin” to make Auburn more transparent, accessible and impactful.
With a platform focused on honesty and truthfulness, Lilly Pool, a junior in English literature with a double minor in business and philosophy, is going to use her experience serving as an SGA at-large senator for two terms, a member of the Auburn University Academic Honesty Committee and the Director of History of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority as a baseline to embrace, engage and empower all Auburn students. As an out-of-state student she quickly learned that what makes an Auburn student’s experience special is not the roles they fill, but the people they grow with along the way.
President Candidates:
Willis Orr, a junior in business analytics, aspires to move Auburn "FORRWARD" while preserving what makes it such a special place. Orr, an SGA cabinet assistant vice president of university operations, is prioritizing the maintaining of quality with Auburn’s rapid pace of growth, increase of opportunity for scholarships to ease financial burdens of Auburn’s continual tuition rate hikes and distinction focusing on preserving Auburn’s identity with its architecture, logos, sports and more.
As a student firefighter for the City of Auburn and SGA lobby board member, Landen Childress is encouraging students to “Lead with Landen.” The junior finance major is using his faith as a basis to promote, serve, unify and lead if he were to be elected president. Some initiatives specific to his platform is an expanded Hey Day, revamped Tiger Transit app and increased freshman engagement plan.
Later today, the SGA will host its 2026 spring elections major candidate debate in the Student Activities Center from 5 to 6:30 p.m. During this time, the SGA president, vice president, treasurer and Miss Auburn candidates will all have the opportunity to debate, respond to questions and discuss their campaign platforms.

Voting will be open on Friday, Feb. 6 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Voting is open to all Auburn students at aub.ie/sgavote.
