Aubie the Tiger statue unveiled outside student center

Saturday, Feb. 24, the Aubie the Tiger statue was unveiled outside of the Melton Student Center in front of a large crowd of students, alumni and supporters. The statue comes just weeks after Aubie's 11th UCA Mascot National Championship victory.

BSU Celebrates 40 Years at Auburn

Saturday, Feb. 17, the Black Student Union celebrated its 40th anniversary at Auburn University. The organization was founded in 1984, 20 years after Harold A. Franklin became the first Black student to enroll at the university. To this day, BSU continues its mission to further the interests of Black students across Auburn's campus.

Auburn’s first therapy dog, Moose, dies at age 15

AUDM holds 13th annual dance event

On Saturday, Feb. 17, Auburn University Dance Marathon held its 13th annual dance party to raise support and awareness for a network of children's hospital across the country. This year, the organization raised $356,036.24, a significant increase from 2023.

Auburn offers an online master of science in brewing

No classes held in Miller Hall for remainder of semester

Areas of Miller Hall are now open after the building was previously closed on Jan. 12 due to findings of mold in the building, however, classes scheduled to meet in Miller will be moved to alternate classrooms and will meet in those classrooms for the remainder of the spring semester. After initial remediation efforts by the university, Risk Management and Safety will continue to test the air in the building for eight weeks and then periodically following that date.

SKILL seeks to provide "level playing field" for students with learning differences

University hosts voter registration event with the League of Women Voters

The 2024 election cycle is underway. The League of Women Voters held a voter registration drive in the Ralph Brown Draughon Library Feb. 6 to encourage students to participate in the upcoming elections. Those who have not yet registered must do so by Feb. 19 to vote in the primary election and Oct. 21 to vote in the general election.

'We all have something to learn from history': university hosts Muscogee lecturer

John Beaver, a Muscogee citizen and museum curator, gave a lecture on Muscogee history in the Ralph Brown Draughon Library on Feb. 6 at 3 p.m. as a part of the "Discover Auburn Culture" lecture series. The Muscogee nation is a branch of the Creek tribe that resides in the Southeastern region of the United States. 

Trustees approve new videoboard for Jordan-Hare, other actions
