It was a slow start for the 16th ranked Tigers at home with no runs off of three hits in the first inning against Ohio State on Friday, Feb 27. It wasn’t until the bottom of the second with Jade Rhodes’s sixth home run that the Tigers put points on the board, bringing in three.
The Auburn softball team continued its winning ways Thursday, February 26, picking up its 18th win of the season over visiting Texas State. The Tigers (18-1) got off to bit of slower start than normal, not plating their first runs till the third inning, when they put up two, one by way of a wild pitch and one off a sacrifice fly from shortstop Haley Fagan. Texas state answered back in the fifth, tying things up with a 2-run homer.

"We got 23 out of 24 people in a ball game," head coach Clint Myers said. "That's pretty darn good. Everybody works hard so when they get their opportunity, they really enjoy it."
The game was called by way of the mercy rule at a score of 15-5.

One goal will be on the mind of Auburn's softball team as they walk on to Jane B. Moore Field for the first time this season Thursday, Feb. 5: A trip to Oklahoma City and a berth in the College World Series.
