Softball brings in second win of Wilson/Dimarini Classic

It was a slow start for the 16th ranked Tigers at home with no runs off of three hits in the first inning against Ohio State on Friday, Feb 27.  It wasn’t until the bottom of the second with Jade Rhodes’s sixth home run that the Tigers put points on the board, bringing in three.

Softball grinds out win over Texas State

The Auburn softball team continued its winning ways Thursday, February 26, picking up its 18th win of the season over visiting Texas State. The Tigers (18-1) got off to bit of slower start than normal, not plating their first runs till the third inning, when they put up two, one by way of a wild pitch and one off a sacrifice fly from shortstop Haley Fagan. Texas state answered back in the fifth, tying things up with a 2-run homer.

Cooper kicking sophomore slump to the curb

Infielder Kasey Cooper is known around the country for her impressive freshman year with the Tigers. In her first season, Cooper was named SEC Freshman of the Week twice, National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-America Scholar Athlete and NFCA National Co-Freshman of the Year, not to mention her participation in the SEC All-Freshman Team, All-SEC Second-Team, NFCA First-Team All-Southeast Region and Second-Team All-American.

Auburn defeated Winthrop going into its 12th game of the season Sunday, Feb. 15, coming back from two victories the day before against Mercer and Eastern Illinois.

Auburn softball makes a statement with new scoreboard

Last month, Auburn once again partnered with Daktronics to provide an enhanced experience while watching the softball team dominate at Jane B. Moore Field. A new scoreboard has been installed that will change the way students keep up with the game, including a spilt-screen feature to provide quick stats on each player, sponsor information and other graphics.

Softball stays perfect

After its victory over Loyola Marymount University on Sunday, Auburn's softball team will head to Orlando, Fla., this weekend for the Citrus Classic with a perfect 14-0 record.
