Keeping up with the latest fashion trends can be difficult, especially for the busy college student.Knowing what to wear to class, to interviews, or out on the town is a decision students face every day in the continually changing world of fashion."When I meet someone I don't know, I form a first impression of that person based largely on how he or she looks, because that's all the information I have readily available to me," said Sandra Forsythe, Auburn University's coordinator of apparel merchandising.

New Tiger Podcasts Expand Range of Communications for Athletics

Tiger Podcasts are giving Auburn athletics a new way to reach out to fans.Podcasts are multimedia files that can be downloaded to a computer or other device such as an iPod or other mp3 player, according to the Auburn Tigers Web site."I think it's just an easier avenue of information for all of our athletics," said Rod Bramlett, lead announcer and director of broadcast services for the Auburn ISP Sports Network.

Tim James Announces Republican Candidacy for Alabama Governor

Tim James, Auburn University graduate and former Opelika resident, has begun his campaign as a Republican candidate in the 2010 race for Alabama governor.James, son of former two-term Alabama governor Fob James, also ran for governor in 2002, finishing third in the Republican primary, according to the Tim James for Alabama Governor Web site.James received a degree in finance from Auburn University, and is known as a solution-oriented person, said Brett Hall, James' campaign spokesperson."These are troubled times, and Tim believes he is right for the job because he has a successful background in business and finance," Hall said.

The Mariners Make Auburn National Headquarters

Many students arrive at college with a desire to get involved on campus and give back to the community.The Mariners, a service organization that supports Auburn University's Naval ROTC, does just that.Formed in 1977 by a group of women who saw that the NROTC needed support, Auburn's chapter is the National Headquarters for the Mariners, as it was the first in the country to be established.The all-female group participates and helps with the NROTC drills, Junior ROTC drill meets and intramural sports, said Lt.
