"I do have concerns right now for young people that might be stuck at home with family members that don’t support them or the LGBTQ community," said Chad Peacock, Pride on The Plains president. "But those young people just need to remember there is a community out here that loves and accepts them."

Eryn Morris became the first recovered COVID-19 patient in Alabama to donate plasma to LifeSouth. She tested positive on March 20 and self quarantined for 17 days before recovering and donating.

Risk of severe weather in Lee County on Thursday

Severe storms are likely to occur in Lee County on Thursday afternoon from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. The Auburn-Opelika area is under an "enhanced risk" for severe weather, meaning tornadoes, damaging winds up to 70 mph and golf-ball-size hail are all possible.
