Graduate student starts leather working in Opelika

Michael Stricklin, graduate student in structure and design, has been making quality leather goods for more than two years and doesn't plan on stopping. His company, Loyal Stricklin, started small, but has grown and been noticed by so many people that it keeps him up most nights.

Student receives Clinton Hunger Leadership Award

Azeem Ahmed, senior in finance with a minor in sustainability, has dedicated the majority of his life to helping others. This year, Ahmed was awarded the worldwide Clinton Hunger Leadership Award, which will be presented to him Feb. 28 through March 2 at the Universities Fighting World Hunger summit.

The Curious Fox is as intriguing as its name suggests. Tucked away in Downtown Opelika, walking into the intimates boutique is like stumbling upon a treasured secret. Hardwood floors creak as you walk in. Artisan jewelry and delicate lingerie are displayed on cream-colored walls like art hung in a museum. The aesthetic is minimalist and inviting. SGA and Miss Auburn election results announced on Cater Lawn

Despite the rain, the winners of the SGA and Miss Auburn elections were announced Tuesday, Feb. 11, via call-outs on Cater Lawn. Logan Powell is the new SGA president, Olabode Anise is vice president, Richmond Gunter is treasurer and Caroline Stephens is the new Miss Auburn.

The Student Government Associations' Major Candidate Debate took place in front of a packed Student Center Ballroom, Feb. 10, at 7 p.m. With the opportunity to prove why they should fill the SGA seat they are seeking, candidates gave it their all in pointing out what they could do for the University and it's students.
