The set of events will begin with a panel of alumni for students to attend, which Hutchins said will be a great way for alumni to personally interact with current students.
For the first time in the history of Miss Homecoming, the voter turnout exceeded 10,000. This year also set the record for percentage of eligible voters who cast a ballot.

Flunch is an SGA initiative that allows students to ask professors, administrators or other faculty and staff to a free lunch, paid for by the University, to foster more personal relationships.

At the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new graduate business building, it was announced the building is named after former College of Business deans George Horton and Bill Hardgrave.
