Auburn softball is spending the summer strengthening its pitching core to create a challenge for opposing batters next season.
Sporting events at Auburn University are as wild as advertised as students are tossed into the forefront of a rabid, hungry fanbase.
Just a few months ago, when Auburn softball was mentioned, a barrage of incredible, program-defining moments would flood the mind of a fan.

The No. 12 Auburn Tigers fell to the No. 11 Texas A&M Aggies 3-1 in the opening-game of the teams' final SEC series.

Carlson has led the way for the 12th-ranked Tigers with 19-4 record and a program-best 0.92 ERA, good enough for fourth in the SEC and 13th nationally.

The win gave Carlson her 63rd of her Auburn career which put her past former Auburn pitcher Lexi Davis in the record books who garnered 62 victories in her four-year Auburn career.
On the mound, Makayla Martin dominated the Vols’ bats for seven straight innings. Through six innings, Martin tossed a no-hitter, fanning five batters in the process.
The Tigers fall to 34-8 for the season and will face Tennessee again tomorrow at 2 p.m. CT.
"She made a few minor adjustments two weeks ago and it's been huge for her. Now she's in a groove."
The infielder entered Auburn's tune-up win over Alabama State with only four hits on the season, but doubled that mark with a 4-for-9 showing in the next four games.
Auburn's six runs were the most the team has scored in SEC play this season.
