Late inning heroics pushed Auburn past conference foe and rival Georgia in their second game of the WCWS on Saturday.
Auburn kicked off the contest with Tiffany Howard scoring on a sacrifice fly by Emily Carosone. Georgia wouldn't allow the Tigers to hold on to their 1-0 lead, responding with a double, sacrifice fly and single up the middle to score Alex Hugo. An Auburn pitching change brought in Rachael Walters and with her came another Georgia run.
No. 4 Auburn faces No. 16 Georgia at 6 p.m. CST on ESPN 2.

A 10-3 victory over the UCLA Bruins in the first day of the Women’s College World Series will keep the Tigers in the winner’s bracket. Now, the Auburn softball team will face off against familiar foe and conference opponent Georgia.
