Taxi drivers still disgruntled with Uber operating in city
People working for Uber are "criminals," according to an Auburn taxi company owner. Jeff Steiger, owner of KGM Auburn Trax, spoke at the Auburn City Council Tuesday, Nov. 4 saying the popular ride-for-hire service is still operating in Auburn without abiding by the same regulations as other taxis.

Auburn water towers scheduled for demolition

Demolition of the tank located on Armstrong Street, built in the 1930s, and the tank located on East University Drive, built in the 1970s, is scheduled to be complete by December.

Kids can enjoy inflatables while hot dogs and hamburgers will be available for purchase through on-site vendors. Downtown restaurants offer take out perfect for family dinner during the game. Guests can begin arriving at 5 p.m in order to secure a spot and are encouraged to bring tailgate chairs and blankets.

Man charged with second-degree rape
October 22The Auburn Police Division has arrested and charged a 57-year-old man with second-degree rape. Richard R. Almond was arrested Tuesday, Oct. 21, according to a press release by the APD. The victim is a 21-year-old female.
