International Buddies make music together

Yedurag "Yedu" Babu of Kerala, India, has developed an enjoyment for bluegrass music thanks to his international buddy. In summer 2013, the Office of International Programs started the International Buddy Program, a way for international and local students to form meaningful friendships.

In 2009, Hans van der Reijden, managing director of hotel operations and educational initiatives at The Hotel at Auburn University and Dixon Conference Center, implemented the Teddy Bear Tea after the opening of the hotel's Piccolo Lounge earlier that same year.

Police said Shockey Smarr, 26, was charged with attempted murder, shooting into an occupied dwelling, possession of marijuana, criminal trespassing, failure to appear in court and a probation violation.

Harvey Updyke must pay $700 or go to jail

According to a Tuscaloosa News report, Lee County Circuit Judge Jacob A. Walker will issue arrest warrants for Updyke if he fails to pay $350 by Jan. 9. Another $350 payment is due Feb. 11.
