After making changes to the fall schedule, the SEC announced Auburn volleyball's eight-game slate. The Tigers will start their season on Oct. 21 at home against Florida.
“I feel like all the freshmen receivers got a chance to play this year,” Seth Williams said Wednesday. Auburn has five new freshmen receivers and transfer Caylin Newton, joining veterans Williams, Anthony Schwartz and Shedrick Jackson at the wideout position this fall.

The SEC announced on Tuesday the game times and TV networks for three of Auburn's games this season, including the first two weeks of the 2020 season.
After going two weeks without a positive case, Gus Malzahn announced Sunday that the team had nine positive cases, which forced them to shut down two practices this week. The Tigers will return to practice Tuesday, with 16 total players unable to practice this week because of contact tracing.
A team spokesperson told The Plainsman on Saturday that Auburn's second scrimmage of the fall scheduled for Saturday had been canceled. The reason for the scrimmage cancellation is unknown.
“We talk about it almost every day in the linebacker room. I can’t really say too much about it, but y’all are going to see it this season. It’s going to look like a whole new Auburn offense, man. All the stuff they’ve brought in, it’s ridiculous.”

The SEC announced Thursday its start dates and formats for the remaining fall sports. Auburn soccer, volleyball, cross country and fall golf and tennis now know how their seasons will be held.
After playing at Auburn, Tre' Williams spent time in the NFL and XFL. Now, he's an assistant coach at Thompson High School, where he can continue to help others on and off the field.
The departures of Derrick Brown and Marlon Davidson to the NFL leave gaps that Auburn will have to replace on the defensive line and will force new players to step into leadership roles. Big Kat Bryant, a senior from Cordele, Georgia, is stepping into a leadership role as one of Auburn’s returning starters from last season’s defensive line.
"At the end of the day, whoever gets the most carries or whatever, all us are going to go out there and do what we do, because that's why we came to Auburn — to make plays, do what we're being taught and add more explosiveness to the offense."
A second former Auburn baseball player has gotten his call to the big leagues as pitcher Ben Braymer was called up on Monday by the Washington Nationals. Following his debut, Braymer will be the 53rd former Auburn player to play in the MLB.
