Tigers eager for return of injured shooting guard

"We've played 80 percent of our season without him," Pearl said. "80 percent is a significant number. We've played four games without him and one with him. So any time you get guys back, it does change your chemistry and locations. His learning curve is going to be affected. It's not so much where to be as far as our plays are concerned, but probably more on the defensive side where he had a lot of room to grow."

Women's basketball falls to Winthrop in a thriller

Winthrop converted 16 of their 25 attempts from the free-throw line and played opportunistic defense down the stretch to knock off the Tigers 56-54 Saturday afternoon at Winthrop Coliseum. Aliyah Kilpatrick scored a game-high 16 points for the Eagles with 10 of those points coming from the charity stripe.

Tigers lead Iron Bowl behind explosive first half effort

After a turnover on the first possession of the game, Auburn's offense responded in a big way by outgaining Alabama 383-178 in yards on its way to a 26-21-halftime lead. After winning the coin toss and electing to receive, Roc Thomas fumbled a swing pass on the first offensive play of the game. This is the third time this season Auburn has opened the game with a turnover on their first possession.

Student-athletes thankful for FCA experience

Since 1954, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes has been influencing the lives of players and coaches around the country. Whether it's at the youth level, high school, college or the pros, the voluntary organization had challenged athletes of all sports to live by the values of integrity, teamwork, community service and devotion to Jesus Christ through weekly "huddle" meetings.
