After originally being scheduled to play Xavier, Auburn baseball will instead host No. 18 Boston College in a three-game series this weekend.
"I wish we would've got this dub today and then win on Saturday so we could've ended perfectly ready to go into the next season, but that's not going to happen," Williams said. "So we have to win this Saturday, and we're going to be prepared for Mississippi State."
Auburn is gearing up for its second meeting of the season with the Alabama Crimson Tide on Tuesday. "[Alabama's] 1-5 when they're held under 70, and that's got to be something we try to do, and we've only done that three times," Pearl said.
On Tuesday, the SEC announced its postseason honors as senior forward Unique Thompson was named to the All-SEC Second Team, and Romi Levy earned a spot on the All-Freshman Team.
Auburn’s Trace Bright has been named SEC Pitcher of the Week, the league announced on Monday. The honor comes after the right-hander’s performances against Alabama A&M and Texas A&M over the past week.
After pitching a no-hitter over the weekend, Maddie Penta was named SEC Freshman of the Week by the conference on Monday. Penta is the first Tiger to win multiple SEC Freshman of the Week awards since Kasey Cooper in 2014.

He had authority over the mound. He had authority over the baseball. Everybody playing behind him responded to it.”
Auburn softball swept its doubleheader on Saturday against the IUPUI Jaguars, winning both games 5-0 at Jane B. Moore Field. Freshman pitcher Maddie Penta tossed the second no-hitter of her career in the first game, while freshman Makayla Packer hit a grand slam in the second game.
“We just got off to such a tough start,” said head coach Butch Thompson. “We hung in there against Oklahoma. Today, we just gave the plate away from Jump Street. From the first batter of the day, we gave the plate away.”
On Saturday, Auburn upset No. 25 Tennessee 77-72 for the Tigers' sixth consecutive victory over the Volunteers.
“The crazy thing is that we are definitely one of the youngest teams in the country,” Graba said. “If we do it right this year, we’re going to be good for years to come. We’re so excited to see this young team continue to blossom and establish a strong foundation for us.”
Following 110 minutes of play, Auburn and LSU were unable to break the 0-0 tie at the Auburn Soccer Complex on Friday. “I thought we started the game really slow, but we grew into the contest and created enough chances to win,” said head coach Karen Hoppa. “We just couldn’t find the back of the net.”
Auburn continued its winning ways on Friday with a pair of victories over Murray State. The Tigers won a pitcher’s duel 1-0 before sweeping the doubleheader with a 3-1 win, moving the team to 8-1 on the season.

On senior night, Unique Thompson and Auburn were unable to pull off the upset over No. 16 Arkansas losing 74-69. “Whenever I look back on my years here, I can honestly say I did give it everything I had,” Thompson said. “I don’t have any regrets."
