The top 5 Miss Auburn candidates were announced to a crowd tonight at 9 p.m. on Cater Lawn by the Executive director of elections for SGA Caroline Holmes. The top 5 Miss Auburn candidates are: Madison Gaines Jennifer Ashman Eva Mavrakos Sapphira Glemaud Madison Rolling The finalists will go on to compete in Miss Auburn in the spring.

Neighborhood confronts City Council about construction concerns

Many residents of Timberwood subdivision came before the City Council on Nov. 17 to discuss their concerns about a new Dollar General being built at the intersection of Timberwood Drive and Highway 29. Shauna Monroe spoke to the council first, saying that the community had no warning as to what was coming. "We feel that we were blindsided by this," said Monroe.

McGuffin will open the event and speak about her platform, "Healthy is The New Skinny".

Man’s best friend joins counseling services

He’ll lie at someone’s feet if he senses anger or rest his head in someone’s lap and offer a paw if he sees tears, but he also knows to give people space when they need it. Moose, a 7-year-old yellow Labrador Retriever, works as a full-time therapy dog alongside his principal handler Katherine Werner, licensed staff psychologist, at the University’s Student Counseling Services. Moose served as a bomb detection dog with Auburn University Canine Performance Sciences until he retired in May, Werner said.

9/11 survivor donates piece of World Trade Center to University
