“I think it’s really important to try and show a real-world example of what companies do for cyber security,” Vanrell said. “Instead of being like, ‘Oh, hypothetically, this is what you are supposed to do.’”
Auburn’s College of Architecture, Design and Construction and College of Human Sciences have both been recognized in DesignIntelligence Magazine’s 2018 survey in a variety of categories.

"CBC is important, because like every organization at Auburn its a venue for people to be creative, work toward something they enjoy, and share that experience with others.”
Tiger Dining wanted to find a way where students could order a meal while in class, then pick it up on their way to their next class, something that was difficult until Tapingo came into the picture.

He went from living at home to living hours away. He went from a high school with about 250 students to a university with more than 25,000. Mercer’s life went through a massive transition, and the struggles with depression he experienced in high school came back even stronger.
“Sometimes, the term ‘mental health’ will scare people away,” Annerino said. “Some people do think it’s still kind of a taboo topic to talk about, so ‘mental wealth’ is kind of putting a positive spin on it.”
"Twenty-five years — that's a cool milestone," Powers said. "A lot of Auburn's current students weren't born 25 years ago, which is funny to me. I think the fact that we are working with Alabama and leveraging that rivalry is a good thing. It gets the state and community excited to fundraise and provide a lot of food for those who need it."
“I feel like cultural appropriation comes up a lot in pop culture,” Witherspoon said. “And I want people to be able to have more knowledge and more respect for other people’s cultures.”
"It is often the case that people believe that domestic violence happens somewhere else, to someone they do not know," Kluck said. "But the truth is, there are probably people in class sitting next to us who are experiencing domestic violence right now or who grew up in a household with domestic violence."
As a part of their partnership with Project Horseshoe Farm, the teams are coordinating projects to extend the organization's mission of strengthening the community, improving the quality of life of vulnerable neighbors and preparing citizen service leaders for tomorrow’s communities.
Auburn professor and graduate student are conducting a study in the Atlanta area that looks for environmental factors contributing to greater risk of people contracting the West Nile virus.
“To do our part and to provide them the resources they need is what we’re trying to achieve with this voter-registration drive,” Block said.
“These books are super expensive, and on top of all the other expenses to be here, buying these books just simply isn’t within some students’ realms of possibilities, honestly,” said MB Smith, SGA assistant vice president of academic affairs.
“Kind of like when you fall in love with somebody, how you can see the world through rose-colored glasses, swing dancing allows me to be like that.” Cady said.
Auburn University will be holding its annual faculty awards ceremony on Nov. 13 at The Hotel at Auburn University and Dixon Conference Center.
“It’s nice to feel safer,” said Patricia Montgomery, sophomore in mechanical engineering. “I already feel safe at Auburn, but it’s nice to have this back-up stuff. We’ve definitely covered a lot of points that I wouldn’t have even thought of.”
"We always talk about how we are all members of the Auburn Family, which sounds really nice, but it means a lot more when we act like it," McConaha said. "I think Green Dot gives us this shared language to engage in behaviors where we are constantly looking out and taking care of each other like a family."
Jaime Miller, director of the Office of Academic Support, thinks it could still be more frequently utilized because the average rate of participation is 32 percent.
